That's me in 2006 with Too Phat's Malik , who is now a good friend of mine .When I was in form 2 , I had an English teacher who introduced me to the quote
`Shoot for the moon , even if you don't get there , you'll reach the stars 'or something similar on those lines . That particular quote was somewhat life changing . If I could meet her again after 9 long years , I'd say a big ` thank you ' for teaching me the power of dreaming and thinking big .
These days , I always dream big . I always push that particular limit of thinking beyond the normalizations of society .... I hope I used the word `normalizations' in the right context here ... You get my drift of what I'm trying to convey ...
I have big plans when I get back home from my middle east tour . I am finally working on my long long and I mean long awaited Tv show . I have been having that idea since I was 18 , but due to study commitments , I was never able to commit . Heck , I was scared I would be thrown out of university if I missed that many classes for shoots .
I'm going to start a company that is directly involved with magic supplies with my good friends in the UK . It was a spontaneous idea that came up , when my friend visited Malaysia a couple months back , and now were actually taking action towards it . This is going to be EXITING ! I'm very happy that a simple idea could actually materialize to something very positive .

Marion Counter and I , in 2006A little story before I go . While touring in the middle east , I have gotten this particular question A LOT :
`How did you get started and how did you learn what you do ? '
I'm not going to explain it long dwindled here though , this will be just be a short summary of events ...
I learned magic the hard way . I had no tutor , never had one , and it all started off with a book . I learned everything the wrong way , I had no skills , and I even invented my own weird misdirections by saying ` What the hell !? ' , looked over the spectator's shoulder and quickly did my secret move ...
My first paid show was being paid in the form of a `free meal ' , I had no money to even get a `bicycle deck ' , and my audience consisted of construction workers and strangers at the `padang' near my house . I was actually conversing in Bahasa when I did my small tricks then ...and those who know me , know my Bahasa suxs . It was somewhat of a weird stand up comedy in BM .
........but somehow , and I mean somehow , I'm actually touring the world doing shows , and meeting and befriending some of the best in the business today . I am just so lucky I can't even believe how lucky I am sometimes . That's why now , I believe that ANYTHING is possible with determination and a lot of creativity . Don't get me wrong , I'm far from satisfied in what I have achieved . I believe that I could have had achieved so much more .... but I guess the vast majority of us feels that way..right ?
Recently , someone told me that he's going to be a millionaire in a year's time with some weird idea that he had ( weird in my opinion ) . He's 26 , a copywriter , earns a minimum wage , but he had a plan , and man is he determined .... He asked for advice and I said :
`Man , people fly me 20,000kms to bend a freaking fork . These days , I think that if you believe in it , ANYTHING is possible ' .
